Song of the Bones and Sun audiobook cover featuring a skull and bones in a dark forest beneath dramatic clouds and sunlight, written by Amber Grosjean and narrated by C.L. Berns

One of the most rewarding parts of audiobook narration is when a story does not end with the final chapter. A few days ago, I had the opportunity to accept an offer to return to the world of Song of the Bones and Sun and record its sequel. That project was a fun journey into a world of archaeology, mystery, adventure, and supernatural elements. Getting the chance to continue that story is one of the things I enjoy most about narration — returning to familiar characters and helping bring the next chapter of their journey to listeners.

I also recently received an invitation to record the sequel to Murder at Yucca Gulch. That project was especially meaningful because it was my first Western narration. Stepping into the world of Sheriff Vincent Ford introduced me to a different style of storytelling — one built around atmosphere, character, and the choices people make when circumstances are not always simple.

There is something special about continuing a series. For a narrator, it is not just about remembering voices. It is about returning to a character’s world, understanding where they have been, and helping carry their story forward.

Every audiobook creates a new challenge.

Every sequel is an opportunity to go deeper.

I am grateful to the authors who have trusted me with their stories, and I am excited to continue these journeys.

More updates coming as these projects move forward
